Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. This position directly supervises a group of production and support employees engaging in similar or closely related production tasks. This position may be required to perform these production tasks while training or based on company needs.
Essential Functions:
1. Manage department resources, capacity and flow to ensure the highest quality while meeting the production plan and customer needs. 2. J- Standard solder certified preferred or must be capable of being certified after being hired. 3. C oordinating resource allocation with other Production Supervisors to achieve production goals 4. Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems. 5. Maintain control and proper completion of all related process documents . 6. Assist in the development of cell policies and procedures. 7. Manage cross training, as well as ongoing work process and policy trainings. 8. Provide leadership to the team, including leading team meetings. 9. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and all instruments are calibrated. 10. Ensure all materials are current and not expired. 11. Conduct and discuss performance evaluations with direct reports. 12. Ownership of work policy enforcement, which includes disciplinary discussions and documentation as necessary. 13. Lead by example in work ethic, attitude, and following work policies. 14. Recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. 15. Complete all required trainings including but not limited to Security Awareness, Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), S.H.E. (Safety, Health, and Environmental), Ethics, Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking, Quality and all performance/product related trainings. 16. Adhere to AS9100 and ISO procedures and ISO compliance. 17. Other support and duties as assigned.
Required/Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
1. Above average to expert knowledge of cell area. 2. Must be J-Standard certified to solder. 3. Above average computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 4. Ability to thrive in an environment of constant change. 5. Must possess leadership, troubleshooting and mechanical skills. 6. 2-year degree and 3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred. 7. Must understand AS9100 requirements. 8. Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to follow through, and high standards of attention to details. 9. Must understand and promote Safety, Health and Environmental regulations. 10. Understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations (preferred but not required).
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance, management, and hiring of the employees within the department.

Physical 1. Working posture at desk. 2. Prolonged Sitting. 3. Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.) 4. Occasional use of short ladders/step stool. 5. Prolonged standing and walking. 6. Wrist ergonomics. Cognitive 7. Workload/Multi-tasking/Deadline stress. 8. Prolonged mental fatigue (analytical analysis and decision making). 9. Computer interaction with multiple screens/programs simultaneously. Environmental 10. Prolonged exposure to monitor screens (Lighting).
