is part of the backup Power Generation Industry. We design and build back up power packages (to include tanks and enclosures) for large and small health, industrial, and technology-oriented businesses that cannot have a power lapse at any time. Job Summary The Housing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and leading a team of Assembly Technicians in the manufacture and assembly of products and various precision aluminum housing parts. Essential Job Functions Supervise the work of 20-40 assembly technicians on different shifts ensuring smooth operations and optimal productivity. Provide technical training and coaching related to assembly, processes, and safety. Communicate daily about notable occurrences in the department, including job status, personnel updates, scheduling, opportunities, ideas, barriers etc. Conduct thorough research on jobs to identify potential challenges and verify you have the answers needed as well as the materials. Analyze problems as they arise, reporting concerns to management, in a timely fashion. Plan for the efficient completion of jobs considering when the packaging department needs them to complete the job. Achieve invoicing goals consistently. Working with Engineering to communicate needs and concerns. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Two plus years of supervisory experience in manufacturing Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Skilled in analyzing blueprints Experienced in using precise measuring tools such as tape measures Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Employer will conduct background and reference checks. Hazardous equipment is used on this site. Housing Supervisor Requirements Background check and pre-employment drug screening required Leadership, interpersonal and motivational skills Must have a strong sense of urgency, be time-sensitive and highly motivated Excellent attendance and punctuality history Able to make decisions based on experience and available data Require minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel and other departments Willing to work flexible hours Ability to interpret specifications, blueprints, and work instructions Ability to read, write and speak English Knowledge of basic hand tools, wrenches, ratchets, screw drivers, etc. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions Ability to solve basic mathematical equations Detail oriented with exceptional eye/hand coordination skills Physical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Frequent standing and walking for extended periods Repetitive use of hands, arms, and upper body Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds Ability to operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely Ability to read and interpret measurements using a ruler or measuring tools Ability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing PPE Visual and auditory ability to identify safety hazards and operational issues Working Conditions This position is performed in a manufacturing, production, and warehouse environment that may include both indoor and outdoor work areas, some of which are not fully covered. Employees may be exposed to fluctuating temperatures, weather conditions, elevated noise levels, airborne particles, fumes, moving machinery, and hard or uneven walking surfaces. Work may involve proximity to heavy equipment, tools, forklifts, and production machinery. OSHA-compliant safety training, personal protective equipment (PPE), and safety procedures are provided and must be followed at all times while in production and warehouse areas.
