Onsite Join Clariant as a Shift Supervisor and play a key role in leading safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations. In this position, you will oversee a team of production employees, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while ensuring production targets, quality standards, and operational objectives are consistently achieved. You will develop and coach employees, support training initiatives, monitor key performance indicators, and proactively address operational challenges to drive productivity and ensure products are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Through your leadership and commitment to operational excellence, you will contribute to Clariant's success while helping create a safer, more efficient, and sustainable manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Lead a team of 15-20 employees in a rotating shift environment, ensuring production goals are achieved safely, efficiently, and effectively. This role requires flexibility to work rotating shifts. Complete GEMBA walks and MSHA workplace inspections in the production areas. Enter near misses, safety deviations, or other incident types to ensure the safety of the team, and to comply with environmental and safety regulations. Keep a high standard for housekeeping activities and embrace the company safety requirements/initiatives. Hold the individuals accountable for the results, including production, quality and training. Lead the training of the employees, to secure we can deliver the production plan, minimizing cost (overtime, waste, etc.) and delivering products when the customers expect them. Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures. Conduct competency testing for all direct reports. Motivate the employees to train and acquire new capabilities that allows them to operate different processes. Avoid or correct the deviations that will impact the production and cost plan. Continuously report in SAP the conditions that needs to be corrected to avoid significant unplanned events. Encourage the team to use the digital tools to report shift events, downtime, production. Continuously monitor the main KPIs, and act with a high sense of urgency when something is outside the operation envelope. Understand the losses and provide recommendations to minimize them.
