The production supervisor oversees and coordinates all activities related to the operations department within the Supply Chain. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient processes, maintaining quality standards, managing personnel, and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.What You'll Do:
As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards. This role is responsible for managing a team of production workers, coordinating workflows, monitoring equipment and processes, and driving continuous improvement. The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in leading teams, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing productivity.Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production employees to meet production schedules. Monitor production processes and adjust workflows to improve efficiency and output. Enforce compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, GMP, ISO). Train, mentor, and evaluate team members; provide feedback and discipline as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation, including production logs, attendance records, and incident reports. Review production reports, resolve delays or bottlenecks, and escalate issues as needed. Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment; coordinate with maintenance team for repairs. Track inventory levels and assist with material planning. Lead or participate in continuous improvement efforts. Maintain accurate shift records and ensure timely communication with other shifts or departments. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and teamwork on the production floor.What We're Looking For:
A high school diploma or equivalent, combined with relevant work experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in beverage or food manufacturing. 2 or more years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization. Familiarity with manufacturing software systems (e.g., ERP, MES). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, quality systems, and safety regulations. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours per shift). Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to 50 lbs. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs to inspect equipment or observe production activities. Ability to visually inspect products, read documentation, and monitor displays or instrumentation. Tolerance for noise, heat, cold, and other conditions typical of a manufacturing floor. Must be able to wear and work in personal protective equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes. Ability to respond quickly to production issues, which may require swift movement or navigating tight spaces. Why Florida's Natural?
