Description Overview:
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating production operations. Primary duties include leading a team of production workers, monitoring production processes, and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and quality standards. Primary goal will be to optimize production efficiency, minimize downtime, and deliver products of the highest quality on time. Lead and supervise a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Leads a team of production workers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce. Organizes production schedules, ensuring the availability of resources, materials, and equipment to meet production targets. Monitors production processes and equipment, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may affect productivity. Collaborate with Supervisors and Management regarding activities and resolve any production-related issues. Implements and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Serves as a role model for expected behavior. Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Coordinates with Manufacturing Supervisor to conduct regular performance evaluations of production workers, provide coaching and training opportunities to enhance skills and productivity. Ensure proper documentation of production activities, including production reports, quality trends, and Stocking levels. Fosters a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the production team. Uses best practices related to manufacturing processes and equipment. Ensures and verifies all staged material contain accurate quantities and labeled correctly according to work orders Documents of any discrepancies identified during the verification process Assists and ensures packed raw materials are in the correct boxes Completes production orders in Navision listing all required information regarding: Quantity produced Amount of material scrapped Production time required Location of finished good material Maintains a clean and organized workspace using 6S principals and holds staff members accountable for same. Follows all safety procedures regarding proper PPE requirements, equipment usage, and maintenance documentation Closing the warehouse down. Checking doors, cutting off the compressor, setting the alarm, etc. Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Qualifications Experience and Skills:
Must have the desire to produce high quality products for our customers Must be initiative-taking and stay productive Must be committed to safety and shop cleanliness using 6S principles Must have a positive attitude and work within the team I must be willing to learn new skills Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Efficient with Production Order Reporting (POR) practices (Material Consumptions, Order Closing)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment. Knowledge of company Material offerings. Solid understanding of safety protocols and quality control standards. Ability to promote a safe working environment for the team. Proficiency in using productivity software (Navision) and Manufacturing-related software devices (Barcode and Scanner Software)
Physical Requirements:
Stand for extended periods of time. Use hands to oversee, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Ability to lift fifty pounds

From $24.00 per hour
