If You Have:
At least two years of manufacturing experience (preferred) At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred) Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma Exposure to quality system methodologies such as
ISO 9001, ISO/TS
16949, and/or AS9100 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with team members and management; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus Solid computer literacy, including MS Office and keyboarding skills Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, equipment, and hands-on troubleshooting The ability to stand, move, and perform hands-on work throughout a manufacturing floor for up to 12 hours per day, including routine lifting up to 50 lbs. You Will Be:
Performing production tasks and learning all jobs within the assigned department Managing team members and activities to consistently meet production objectives Measuring and reporting on the quantity, quality, and timeliness of departmental output Leading daily production, training, problem-solving, quality, and safety meetings Setting and communicating performance expectations, recognizing strong performance, and correcting deficiencies Training team members to perform their jobs efficiently and safely Coordinating with maintenance to ensure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule Serving as the department's safety leader, including hazard inspections and incident root cause analysis Enforcing safety policies and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations Leading the application of lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies to improve quality and efficiency Maintaining accurate, professional production records and documentation
