Position Summary The General Assembly Production Group Leader is responsible for leading and supervising frontline manufacturing teams in a fast-paced automotive production environment. This role drives daily production performance while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, cost, and delivery. The successful candidate will lead Team Leaders and Team Members, coordinate production activities, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position plays a critical role in achieving operational goals, developing team capability, and maintaining a strong culture of safety and accountability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in high-volume manufacturing environments and is passionate about driving performance, developing people, and improving processes. Key Responsibilities Supervise Team Leaders and Team Members in manufacturing and quality areas Direct and coordinate multiple production teams Plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals Monitor production processes to ensure operational standards are met Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures Assign and coordinate workloads using independent judgment Ensure quantity and quality targets are achieved within required timeframes Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives Accountable for team performance and operational results Address Team Member concerns and support resolution Support management in problem solving initiatives and production needs Participate in hiring, promotions, and performance evaluations Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams Own safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets for assigned production areas Maintain accurate timekeeping and administrative responsibilities Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and leadership Support compliance with safety, environmental, and operational systems Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience 1-5 years of manufacturing or automotive experience Experience in high-volume production environments Strong leadership and communication skills Problem-solving and decision-making abilities Preferred Automotive manufacturing experience General Assembly experience Experience leading frontline teams Continuous improvement or Lean experience Experience in fast-paced production environments Benefits & What We Offer Strong relocation assistance program Competitive salary Stellar Benefits Package Overtime qualification and additional earning opportunities New, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility Great work environment and team culture Medical insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance 401(k) retirement plan Career growth and advancement opportunities Stability with a growing automotive manufacturer Success in This Role Looks Like Production goals consistently achieved Strong team engagement and morale Improved safety and quality performance Efficient production flow and reduced downtime Strong collaboration across departments Continuous improvement initiatives implemented successfully Why This Role Matters This role directly impacts safety, productivity, and quality performance. Pay:
$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
