PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Who You Are:
We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to join our Metal Manufacturing Team. As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting, overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our production department, with a heavy focus on enhancing efficiency and continuous improvement. This role plays a pivotal part in achieving our production goals and maintaining a productive workforce.
What You'll Do:
Lead, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure they meet production targets while adhering to safety and quality standards. Collaborate with the production planning team to schedule and prioritize production orders, ensuring on-time delivery of products. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to maintain product quality and minimize defects. Allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, efficiently to optimize production output. Ensure all employees follow safety protocols and participate in safety training programs to maintain a safe and accident-free workplace. Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of continuous improvement (CI) projects to improve manufacturing processes and increase efficiency. Mentor production teams and supervisors on the application of lean principles and how to identify and solve operational challenges Monitor and manage raw materials and finished goods inventory to ensure adequate supplies for production. Maintain accurate records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality, and analyze data to make data-driven decisions. Foster a positive work environment by providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. Address and resolve any employee issues or conflicts that may arise within the production team. Work with cross functional teams to remedy immediate issues and holistic root-cause solutions.
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Deep understanding of continuous improvement (CI) and Lean Manufacturing or similar OpEx frameworks. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/Inventory systems is preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field considered an asset. Proficiency in production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles. Proven ability to remain calm under pressure and lead with high Emotional Intelligence (EQ). Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience in training and mentoring teams, as a teacher and as a peer. Foster a Safe Work Environment .
