Job Description

Description:
The Weekend Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily pharmaceutical manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of high-quality products. This role supervises production staff, monitors performance against production schedules, enforces compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor serves as a key link between production staff and management, ensuring alignment of operations with company goals and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise daily manufacturing operations, including staff scheduling, workflow coordination, and production line oversight. Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with cGMP, FDA, EMA, ICH, and other applicable regulatory standards. Train, coach, and mentor production staff to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes and adherence to SOPs. Monitor production schedules, resource usage, and output to meet production goals and timelines. Review and approve batch records, logs, and other production documentation for accuracy and completeness. Partner with Quality Assurance and Quality Control to resolve deviations, discrepancies, and OOS (out-of-specification) results. Support investigations, CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and root cause analysis related to production activities. Promote and enforce safety practices, maintaining a clean and compliant manufacturing environment. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. Ensure equipment is maintained in a validated, calibrated, and operational state. Serve as point of contact during audits, inspections, and cross-functional meetings regarding production activities. All other activities commensurate with the role, as required
