Manufacturing Plant Production Supervisor Position Location:
Battleboro, NC Relocation Assistance Available This position is based at our East Coast Bakery in Battleboro, NC. We are conducting a nationwide search and offer comprehensive relocation assistance for qualified candidates relocating from outside the area. Must Have! A minimum of 5 years-experience in food manufacturing management, preferably in the bakery/dessert industry with demonstrated success at the supervisor level. The Production Supervisor will report to the Shift Manager and be responsible for all production activity for one area on one shift but should also know and be able to run all the aspects of the plant under the supervision of the Shift Manager, to meet company service, quality, cost safety and people objectives. This includes development, implementation and monitoring of programs for SQF, HACCP, product tracking, supplier certification and measuring quality and safety ingredients, WIP and finished product, programs to measure process control and adherence to specifications, for programs to measure controls for the environment. - Lead production operations across assigned areas to ensure compliance with formulations, specifications, procedures, and quality standards for safety, appearance, weight, flavor, and texture.
- Manage staffing levels and labor deployment to meet production demands and efficiency targets.
- Monitor productivity, line performance, and labor metrics to optimize operational efficiency.
- Control material usage, minimize waste, and maximize yield while maintaining product specifications.
- Partner with Receiving and Purchasing to maintain proper inventory levels and inventory rotation.
- Ensure compliance with GMPs, housekeeping, sanitation, and food safety standards.
- Maintain a 900+ AIB sanitation inspection score.
- Promote and enforce compliance with all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Track employee attendance and administer attendance policies accurately and consistently.
- Manage employee performance through coaching, recognition, accountability, and progressive discipline.
- Train, develop, and engage employees to support performance goals and career growth.
- Administer personnel activities in compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Qualifications What we require:
- A minimum of 5 years-experience in food manufacturing management, preferably in the bakery/dessert industry with demonstrated success at the supervisor level.
- Proven effective supervisory experience.
- Strong quantitative and interpersonal skills with the ability to think critically.
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.
What we prefer:
B.A. or B.S. degree in the field of science (i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or Technology) or equivalent relevant industry experience. Benefits
