Job Posting Title Production Supervisor, Machining - Off Shift Job Description Summary Dauch is looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team in Newton, NC. This is a fully onsite position on the 2nd or 3rd shift. The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring business KPI's are met by creating production schedules, effective manpower planning, coaching the team toward continuous improvement of product quality and production efficiency. They are also responsible for safety, turnover, quality, budgets, cleanliness, culture and professional development of each associate in their area.
Job Description:
Supervises production associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. Delivers KPI's, business strategy, and people strategy in area(s) of responsibility. Creates and maintains a master strategic plan to accomplish KPI's. Ensures standardization across area of responsibility (policy, procedures, standard work, etc.). Communicates and enforces Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures. Maintains a physical presence on the floor; walks the floor with incoming/outgoing Group Leaders, Cross Functional Engineers, and Team Leaders to address safety, quality, and productivity issues. Completes leadership standard work and checklists. Ensures key communications, escalations, and business information is flowing to and from teams. Reviews production priorities with Team Leaders, audits Team Leader execution of startup meetings at PVD boards and supports where needed. Ensures TPM is completed; gathers and enters production data; check and initial LTA data throughout value stream. Assists the team, engineering, other processes, and management to ensure customer and business requirements are met. Expedites production, prototype and PPAP components. Drives continuous improvement cross-functionally and in production, leading Kaizen events and 5-why/Practical Problem-Solving projects root cause elimination. Ensures that correct process control and associated documentation is utilized. Troubleshoots equipment and processes within trained skillset and according to policy. Ensures conformance to
IATF 16949
procedures and work instructions. Assists in facilitation of corrective actions related to internal issues/customer complaints. Conforms to proper escalation protocol. Ensures efficient upkeep and utilization of equipment and PM. Facilitates autonomous maintenance and maintain work orders. Facilitates team meetings related to quality, cleanliness, safety, productivity and continuous improvement. All other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Education High School Diploma or GED. Combination of 4 years of relevant work experience and/or higher education in a manufacturing or engineering field. Availability and willingness to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as requested.
