Full-time hours (Temp to perm) About the Company MGR Workforce is hiring an experienced Shop Foreman (Supervisor) who will work for a custom industrial services company specializing in Industrial Millwright, Fabrication & Installation Services to perform complex installations, heavy machinery relocation, and custom fabrication. Every project is different. One day the project might be building structural components, the next working on platforms or specialized machinery. This is not a production environment. It is a true custom shop where problem-solving and adaptability matter. Position Overview The experienced Shop Foreman (Supervisor) will lead by example in a fast-paced, custom fabrication environment. This role requires both strong leadership and hands-on shop experience. You will oversee daily shop operations, manage a team, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to spec. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of 6 to 10 shop employees Plan and manage multiple custom fabrication projects at once Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications Create material cut lists and coordinate material needs Develop and maintain shop schedules based on project demands Operate shop equipment as needed, including saws, presses, and bending equipment Oversee inventory control, material receiving, and shipping Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work closely with upper management to improve shop operations Assign and track job numbers for payroll and project tracking Assist other departments, including the machine shop, when needed Qualifications Previous experience of at least 3-4 years managing a fabrication or machine shop Strong hands-on fabrication background Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum Knowledge of structural steel, pipe, tubing, and sheet metal fabrication is a plus Ability to read blueprints and work from custom designs Experience operating common shop equipment (training provided for site-specific machines) Strong organizational and leadership skills Ability to handle multiple priorities in a custom job shop environment Why Join Us Steady Monday to Friday schedule Competitive hourly pay at $36/hour Work on unique, one-of-a-kind projects Opportunity to lead a skilled team in a hands-on environment If you have experience running a shop and enjoy working on custom fabrication projects where no two days are the same, we'd like to hear from you. #MGR1
