Full-Time Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating daily operations across two cabinet manufacturing production lines. This role ensures safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are consistently met while driving continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing principles. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in cabinet manufacturing and a proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Operations Management Supervise and coordinate activities across two production lines (assembly). Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Monitor throughput, labor utilization, and line performance; take corrective action as needed. Collaborate with planning, maintenance, and materials teams to minimize downtime and disruptions. Leadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop production team members, including leads and operators. Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, safety topics, and performance expectations. Drive accountability and foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Apply Lean tools (5S, standard work, visual management, waste reduction, Kaizen events). Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to improve flow, reduce scrap, and increase productivity. Maintain and improve standardized processes and work instructions. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive action plans. Quality & Compliance Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards. Partner with Quality to address defects, root cause issues, and implement corrective actions. Enforce adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Promote a safe work environment and lead by example in safety practices. Inventory & Material Flow Ensure proper material staging, line-side organization, and inventory accuracy. Coordinate with warehouse/logistics to maintain uninterrupted production flow. Reduce waste and excess inventory through improved processes and planning.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 3-7+ years of experience in cabinet manufacturing or the closely related woodworking industry.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of cabinet construction, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple production lines and prioritize effectively.
Preferred:
  • Experience in high-volume cabinet and high mix manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
