Overview The Production Supervisor (Fulfillment) is responsible for overseeing daily fulfillment operations, ensuring all orders are processed accurately, timely, and efficiently. This role manages fulfillment teams, maintaining rigorous food safety standards (FSQA/GMPs) while optimizing order quality and consistency. The supervisor ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities Operational Oversight:
Lead the daily order fulfillment process with a hands-on approach, ensuring food safety, consistency, and efficiency are maintained at all times.
Team Leadership:
Mentor and coach leads and fulfillment personnel to develop future leadership within the team; resolve employee conflicts in a timely, fair, and professional manner.
Scheduling & Planning:
Develop production and fulfillment schedules based on customer needs and forecasted volumes, adhering to labor budgets.
Quality & Safety Compliance:
Ensure all products are handled, packaged, and labeled according to SOPs, HACCP plans, and GMPs. Collaborate with FSQA/Safety managers to refine sanitation and safety protocols.
Process Improvement:
Log waste and overages to drive efficiency in recipe scaling and packaging. Conduct regular team meetings to set expectations, review production cycles, and identify growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Research & Development on new menu roll-outs and work closely with logistics, warehouse, and production teams to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery of customer orders.
Requirements Experience:
1+ years of supervisory experience in a food processing or fulfillment environment.
Technical Knowledge:
Demonstrated experience with HACCP, USDA, FDA, SQF, GFSI, OSHA, and GMP standards.
Leadership:
Proven ability to coach, train, and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
Execution:
Strong problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Tools:
Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
Flexibility:
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand for extended periods, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and carry up to 25 lbs.
