Full Job Description Salary:
Starting at 85k+, based on experience. The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Corrugator Supervisor on Second Shift, to support our Cicero, Illinois facility. The Corrugator Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of corrugated boards in accordance with TRG standards and collective bargaining agreement (CBA). This role ensures that all production activities are executed in a clean and hazard-free environment while minimizing waste and maximizing productivity. Key responsibilities include scheduling production shifts, managing personnel, optimizing workflow, and implementing cross-training programs to build a versatile and skilled team. The Corrugator Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence, meeting production targets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety. FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
Production Oversight:
Plan, schedule, and supervise daily corrugator operations to meet production goals and customer requirements.
Labor Relations Compliance:
Ensure all supervisory actions align with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement (CBA), including work assignments, overtime distribution, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures.
Team Leadership:
Direct, coach, and evaluate corrugator staff while fostering a respectful and collaborative work environment. Promote cross-training and skill development in accordance with CBA guidelines.
Workplace Safety & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety policies.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance corrugator efficiency, reduce waste, and support employee engagement and operational excellence. Ensure proper and efficient operation of corrugator by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment, and analyzing techniques. Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests. Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, recommending and implementing changes. Maintain inventories of Rollstock and corrugator supplies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
College degree or professional experience in lieu of education 5+ years' manufacturing supervisory or management experience with preference in the corrugated industry. 3 years' management experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
College degree in Manufacturing, Production Engineering or related field 3+ experience in the Corrugated Industry.
