Job Description

Job Description Responsible for supporting all phases of daily production and assisting production supervisor. The responsibilities will include Production areas scheduling, staffing, and training development. This position will ensure the production of products meet operation, safety and quality standards. In addition, emphasis will be placed on meeting improving processes and complying with all regulatory requirements. Quality Specific Responsibility Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company quality standards. All Hydrox Laboratories Supervisors and Managers are responsible for understanding, implementing, updating and maintaining adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring employees follow approved procedures, and promptly addressing or reporting any deviations from established quality or regulatory requirements. Every leader is accountable for maintaining a culture of quality and ensuring Hydrox standards consistently meet or exceed both internal expectations and customer requirements. Duties & Responsibilities Data accuracy of production records and other documentation during the filling and packaging process for errors, defects or nonconforming quality; for weight shortages or overages; or other factors which would make the product not meet quality expectations. Monitor production throughout shift and total daily production. Assist in completing batch records and ensuring accurate data. Work closely with other departments to meet production goals. This position will ensure critical information is communicated to all pertinent personnel. Implementation of programs and processes to ensure the quality of our products and assure our production standards are follow by production employees. Assist in supervision of approximately 50 - 60 production employees. Manage to approve staffing levels with Production Supervisor and Human Resources Department support. Make sure all employees are properly trained in the basic requirements of the job. Develop and coach Production Employees, in collaboration with the Production Supervisor, to improve basic skill sets, trouble shooting and knowledge to a higher level of production standards. Follow up and communicate with Production Supervisor in day-to-day activities such as: machine set up/adjustment, change over, assigned project work and production floor coverage to ensure proper coverage. Supervise activities to include scheduling hours, managing overtime, Time sheets and any other activity assigned by Production Supervisor. Safety compliance Additional duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and documentation requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment. Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), batch records, and controlled documentation systems. Understanding quality control principles, including deviation reporting, corrective actions, and inspection procedures. Knowledge of production scheduling and workflow coordination to meet daily production targets. Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA requirements, chemical handling procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ability to use Microsoft Office products Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent required. 2+ years as a Lead or Assistant Supervisor in an FDA regulated manufacturing company. Working Condition This position works in both an office and a production environment within an FDA-regulated chemical manufacturing facility. The incumbent will frequently be present on the manufacturing floor to monitor production activities, support staff, and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. This role requires extensive walking throughout the production areas and standing for prolonged periods of time while observing operations, assisting employees, and addressing production needs. The environment may involve exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, chemical odors, and varying noise levels typical of a manufacturing setting. Employees may also be exposed to liquids, chemical products, and packaging materials while monitoring production processes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hairnets, lab coats, or other protective gear may be required while in production areas. This position may occasionally require bending, reaching, and lifting materials or finished products weighing up to 36 pounds while assisting with production tasks and supporting workflow needs.
