Come be a part of our growing artisan food production company based in Franklin Park, Illinois! We are seeking a qualified Frozen Desserts Production Lead to head up our artisan gelato/ice cream production. Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in the food/dessert industry, great interpersonal and leadership skills, and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: planning and organizing daily and weekly production schedules maintaining accuracy of current recipes and developing new recipes ensuring that health and safety regulations are met while following food safety and HACCP plans determining quality control standards overseeing production processes including use of batch freezer, a continuous freezer, and handmade frozen desserts. Re-negotiating timescales or schedules as necessary to meet demand of production selecting, ordering and purchasing ingredients and materials supervising the work of production employees organizing relevant training sessions inspecting products prior to shipment to ensure labeling accuracy and proper record keeping assisting with daily production Participation in R D projects

Qualifications:

2+ years previous experience in the dessert industry; baker, pastry chef, ice cream/gelato production, etc. Project management skills Organization and efficiency Leadership and interpersonal skills Problem solving skills Communication skills Team mentality
