Job Description

Job Title:
Production Lead Job Description The Production Lead is responsible for assisting with daily floor oversight, task delegation, and acting as lead in the absence of a supervisor. This role involves maintaining flow on extrusion lines, enforcing quality control standards, troubleshooting bottlenecks, and approving profiles. Additionally, the Production Lead will train new hires on standard operating procedures, equipment, and line adjustments while providing ongoing coaching. Safety protocols are paramount; therefore, the role involves enforcing PPE, assisting with audits, completing shift paperwork, and supporting shift-to-shift communication. Maintaining logs, scrap reports, attendance records, and handoff notes is crucial. The Production Lead will identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to optimize production. Responsibilities Assist with daily floor oversight and task delegation. Act as lead when the supervisor is unavailable. Maintain flow on extrusion lines and enforce quality control standards. Troubleshoot bottlenecks and approve profiles. Train new hires on SOPs, equipment, and line adjustments; provide ongoing coaching. Enforce PPE and safety protocols; assist with audits and complete shift paperwork. Support shift-to-shift communication and maintain logs. Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements. Essential Skills HS Diploma/GED 5+ years manufacturing experience (extrusion strongly preferred) Ability to lift 50+ lbs Strong Microsoft Office skills Comfortable leading teams in a fast-paced environment Ability to stay late/overtime as needed Saturday availability during peak seasons If you're interested in this position, please contact Melissa at (847) 580-2812.
