Job Description

Production SupervisorPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensure product quality, meet production targets, and lead a diverse team on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, safety-focused, and able to communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking team members. This role requires strong organizational and technical skills to optimize throughput, maintain equipment reliability, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet or exceed output, quality, and on-time delivery targets.

Lead, coach, and develop a team of machine operators and production associates; manage staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards; conduct regular audits and safety meetings.

Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Oversee machine setup, changeovers, and routine maintenance coordination to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and maintenance to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements.

Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and inventory usage; communicate status to management and stakeholders.

Support hiring, training, and onboarding; provide bilingual (English/Spanish) training and communication as needed.

Drive continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles such as 5S, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience preferred; associate degree or technical certification acceptable with relevant experience.3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment; experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of production planning, process control, quality systems (e.g., ISO, GMP) and safety regulations (OSHA).Proven ability to read and interpret production and quality documentation, and to use production tracking systems and basic MS Office tools.

Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred; ability to communicate clearly in both languages with staff and management.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate teams and manage conflict effectively.

Capability to work flexible shifts and respond to production demands; ability to stand, walk, and perform duties on the shop floor as required.
