A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Job Description

The Service Foreman coordinates the daily workflow of vehicles through the shop, ensures that qualified technicians perform repairs correctly and efficiently and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assign priority to each vehicle repair order and select the appropriate technician
  • Oversee shop workflow
  • Arrange contract repairs when work cannot be performed internally
  • Inspect completed work and documentation
  • Provide training and mentoring to new employees
  • Monitor workspace and employees for Safety compliance
  • Communicating with customers
Education, Skills and Knowledge Required :
  • Valid driver's license, Class A CDL, preferred
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Project Management software and Microsoft Outlook
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
