Description:
The Fabrication Manager will oversee the daily operations of the fabrication facility. This position will coordinate, plan, and direct all the activities that go into the fabrication process. They are responsible for leadership, planning, establishing work schedule, assignments and readiness to meet production goals. This position reports to the President. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate, develop, and maintain production schedule. Promote excellence in safety, quality and production. Assist in developing project estimates. Manage project budget and manhours. Review work drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and conformance to standards prior to distributing to the shop for production. Manage logistics to meet project demands. Participate in interviewing, hiring, and training of employees. Manage employees and their activities. This includes overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems and discipline. Lead team to achieve goals; promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture. Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep the organization accident-free. Responsible and accountable for exceptional housekeeping, shop organization, and quality. Champion product quality to produce products that exceed company standards and client expectations. Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment. Manage material take-off and develop procurement requisitions per the company's procurement process. Work closely with all stakeholders. Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience is preferred. Technical competencies in fabrication (e.g. technical drawings, blueprints, welding and fabrication techniques). Dedication to excellence and quality. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop employees. Must understand welding, forming, and general fabrication. Ability to foster strong relationships with employees, vendors, and customers. Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally. Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and other project management software. Attention to detail. Strong decision-making skills and results driven approach. Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage production within an ERP

Applications for this equipment are used in flaking oil seed for extraction, breakfast cereal flaking, feed flaking, grinding of multiple materials from corn, soybeans, salt, minerals, clay, etc. Machine weight is very robust and heavy duty ranging from 10,000lbs to 53,000lbs. Structural welding is key to the success of the product line. Overall fabrication quality and consistency is also key to product line success.
