Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Shift Supervisor for our 2nd Shift . In this working leadership role, you will oversee a dedicated team of 10-12 hourly members. You will be the driving force behind our production output, ensuring that stringent Quality Control measures are met and our team members have the guidance and support they need to stay on task and succeed. Example:
Act as a hands-on, working leader, managing the daily operations of the 2nd shift and directing staff assignments.
Drive Production Flow:
Oversee the full spectrum of manufacturing functions to keep output on track with our production schedules. Ensure break times are followed and relief positions are seamlessly coordinated.
Problem Solve:
Proactively troubleshoot processing issues, utilizing your team effectively to resolve bottlenecks and get production back on track safely and efficiently.
Champion Quality:
Perform routine, rigorous quality checks on each active product line and accurately record documentation to maintain our premium manufacturing standards.
Communicate Effectively:
Keep the Department Production Manager consistently informed of key operational updates, equipment issues, and team performance. What You Bring (Qualifications)
Experience:
Previous supervisory experience and an in-depth knowledge of production operations (highly preferred).
Leadership:
Demonstrated emotional intelligence, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Technical Skills:
Comfort and ability to use hand tools and safely operate a forklift.
Core Competencies:
Strong organizational and time-management skills, coupled with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Basics:
Solid reading and math skills, alongside great written and verbal communication.
Attitude:
Dependable, punctual, trainable, and bringing a positive attitude to work every day.
