Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sheet Metal Foreman to lead our field team in the fabrication, installation, and repair of commercial sheet metal systems. The foreman will be responsible for supervising a crew, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sheet metal workers and apprentices on-site. Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions, including scheduling, material control, and equipment rentals. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to ensure precise execution of all projects. Work with the project manager and team members to develop and maintain a 3-week manpower lookahead schedule and identify cost-saving strategies. Ensure all site personnel comply with project procedures, safety requirements (OSHA standards), and company policies. Document all incidents and implement corrective action as needed. Coordinate with the fabrication shop for production scheduling and material deliveries. Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections, ensuring systems are installed per plans, specifications, and local codes. Ensure proper project documentation, including daily reports and time entry for crew members. Maintain a positive working relationship with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and colleagues. Qualifications and Skills Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience running commercial mechanical projects as a foreman or lead technician. Extensive experience in sheet metal installation processes (e.g., commercial HVAC ductwork, roof curbs, HVAC equipment installation). Highly proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and technical diagrams. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge of job-site safety procedures and ability to enforce them effectively. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and correctly Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
