JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary Of Position :
Maintaining production operations during work shift as directed, responsibilities not limited to:
Principal Duties and Functions:
1. Keeping the furnaces and dryer producing on schedule and to standard. 2. Monitoring the recovery being generated by material load versus the standard recovery for that particular type of material. 3. Making certain the aluminum sows are weighed and marked properly. 4. Making certain accurate sampling procedures are followed. 5. Sort samples by furnace load run and submit them for analysis. 6. Monitoring stack and fugitive emissions from the plant and tracking the condition of baghouse, and either correcting any malfunctions or notifying proper personal for corrective actions beyond your expertise. 7. Dumping aluminum from furnaces into sow molds and furnace skim into proper containers. 8. Oversee the safe and proper operation of all mobile equipment required for production operations for his/her crew shift. 9. Enforce all safety rules and regulations as set forth by company policies. 10. Operate a furnace when required (which entails all the normal duties of a furnace operator). 11. On weekends, duties include overall responsibility for the plant, operations, and determining when notification of upper management personnel is required for a given problem or situation not covered by instruction or which is beyond your knowledge and experience. 12. Monitor, maintain, and complete pass down reporting between shifts. 13 Responsible for maintaining and monitoring all required paperwork to ensure it is complete, up-to-date, and accurate 14. Evaluating each load of material to determine estimated recovery, PPD and PPH bringing to the attention of the General Manager and/or Plant Manager if out of expected and established recovery parameters. 15. Follow all directions as may be given by management. (i.e. President, General Manager, Plant Manager, or their Representative.) 16. Oversee the safe and proper operation of all equipment / mobile equipment required for productions operations for his/her shift. 17. Coach and enforce employees on all plant safety rules, regulations, and policies. 18. Must be flexible to fill-in on other shifts when needed. 19.
MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER
Minimum Education or Experience:
1. Experienced Supervisor in a manufacturing environment is a must. 2. Bi-lingual helpful but not required. This job would be best suitable for someone who: People-oriented - Can work and interact well with other supervisors, company employees, visitors, and customers. Dependable Achievement-oriented - enjoys taking on new challenges Adaptable/flexible - can work different shifts when needed and/or OT as needed. Takes a hands-on approach to problem solving and analysis.
