Group Leader Stamping Tool & Die
Stamping Department Summary:
The Tool and Die Maintenance Group Leader is responsible for supervising and leading activities within the tool and die department of the Stamping Section. This role provides day to day coaching and leads their team through effective communication to meet the established SIA objectives focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team harmony.
Outline of duties:
Ensures compliance of all SIA rules, policies, and practices, and takes appropriate corrective action, in accordance with the terms of the Associate Handbook Manages timekeeping within the group and attendance records in accordance with SIA Policy Collects, records, and analyzes information and maintains documentation regarding tool and die activities as defined by SIA policy, procedure, or practice. Provides direct support to Team Leaders and Associates so they may effectively and efficiently accomplish work assignments. Builds professional relationships within their group and across departments of SIA. Investigates and acts as a technical problem-solving lead for all tool and die related issues and helps determine countermeasure activities. Plan, implement & manage group activities to achieve safety, quality, cost & productivity targets. Acts as tool and die training lead. Daily communication with Team Leaders. All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
CNC Mill & Lathe Operation experience Industrial Technology or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education Three years of supervisory experience in Tool and Die field. Expert working knowledge of Class A dies and press set-up of Blanking lines, Transfer, and Servo press lines. Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing facility. Proven communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Ability to prepare and perform presentations for all relevant subjects. Willingness and ability to rotate between 1st and 2nd shift assignments on a schedule or as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree in organizational leadership. Previous experience within project management field. Previous experience working in automotive manufacturing.
