Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, located in Madison, IN. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production operations, ensuring that all processes meet safety and quality standards. At Arvin Sango you're not only gaining a career, but a family. The primary responsibilities for the Production Supervisor position include but not limited to: Supervises and coordinates the daily activities of production members engaged in the manufacturing of products, plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. Ensures compliance with all safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
Responsibilities but not limited to:
Ensures effective member relations on a daily basis, provides member coaching and development, makes employment decisions and resolves member concerns through problem resolution Ensures that company policies, procedures, rules are followed Responsible for processes, equipment, members, safety and housekeeping in the production area and meeting production and quality standards on a daily basis Balances quality, safety, productivity, cost and moral to achieve positive results Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department Supports continuous improvement activities within team through active participation and direction Manages team performance measures and provides regular reports to manager Performs thorough accident investigations Maintains the member timekeeping system Ensure that members receive appropriate and adequate training and development Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment and assists members in resolving work problems. Counsels, records and applies appropriate discipline as necessary Develops team leaders to effectively oversee the daily routines of the receiving members Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Demonstrates ability to lead people and get results through others Strong interpersonal and communication skills Must have the ability to interact and understand people Good knowledge of the Toyota Production System Good working knowledge of manufacturing systems, processes and materials Education and/or experience: High school diploma required 2-3 years plant floor experience desired
