Job Description

Hours:
2nd shift - 40-45 hours a week.
SUMMARY:
Responsible for the management of production operations and process improvements for the assigned plant. Ensures all jobs are completed in a safe, timely and accurate manner, and at the highest standards of quality and production efficiency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following: 1. Develops and maintains a respectful relationship with all plant personnel that creates a world-class working culture. 2. Provides leadership and direction in Safety, Quality and Productivity through the use of continuous improvement processes. 3. Identifies unsafe conditions and acts. Investigates and reports all accidents and near misses that occur in the department. Implements preventative action to address every accident, incident and near miss in order to prevent it from happening again or reduce the risk significantly. 4. Responsible for training and development of all direct reports, assuring all training is current and effective. 5. Responsible for the operations and production results of the facility to include: goal achievement, problem-solving coordination, establishment of shift priorities and achievement of production results. 6. Promptly communicates job scheduling issues with Production Control. 7. Directs the work activities of the line personnel and allocates the necessary resources in order to meet daily production standards. 8. Interprets and enforces company policies and safety regulations, administering disciplinary action as needed. 9. Maintains time and production records. 10. Maintains a tour-ready facility at all times. 11. Able to preform all essential functions for full scheduled shift (8-12 hours).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 10-30 employees in the assigned department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
