Production Supervisor

River View Farms Inc is looking for a seasoned Production Supervisor to join a new Egg Production Plant startup located in Orleans, IN. This individual will start approximately 1.5 months prior to plant opening traveling daily to our Washington, IN Egg Plant to shadow and learn processes associated with the facility. Production will be 5 days a week at startup with the potential to increase to 6 days depending on demand. They will need to develop strong relationships with employees to foster a strong workplace This individual will be very engrained in the day to day operations of the plant and will collaborate with customers to schedule daily run schedules.. The Production Supervisor will work closely with the Plant Manager daily, helping the plant run smoothly, striving towards maximum efficiency. This person needs to be very hands-on in their role, willing to assist the team as needed.. In this role it is important to collaborate with the onsite USDA representative to ensure that food safety requirements are met. When new hires are onboarded, this position will work to train new hires to meet plant operational standards. In summary we are looking for a strong Production supervisor that displays great interpersonal skills, initiative, and attention to detail. Must Haves 3+ Years of experience in a production or Manufacturing environment 1+ Years of experience in a supervisory level role Professional experience within production scheduling, ensuring all customer orders are met Strong inventory control experience Ability to manage employee relationships Pluses Experience in food production Experience with SQF standards
