Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Overtime as needed About the Role Step into a leadership seat. BESTAFF is hiring an Assembly Assistant Supervisor for a respected sports equipment manufacturer in Plainfield, IN. You'll partner with the Assembly Supervisor to run the production floor every day — coaching the team, hitting daily targets, and keeping quality high on gear that ends up in the hands of athletes. What You'll Do Assist the Assembly Supervisor in directing daily production activities on the assembly floor Lead, coach, and motivate a team of assemblers building sports equipment to spec Set up lines, balance workflow, and adjust staffing to hit daily output and quality targets Train new associates on assembly processes, work instructions, and safety standards Monitor productivity, scrap, and downtime — escalate issues and drive continuous improvement Perform first-piece and in-process quality checks; verify product meets specifications Step in to cover the Supervisor as needed and keep the floor running smoothly Reinforce 5S, lean practices, and OSHA safety standards across the team What You Bring Previous lead experience in assembly within a manufacturing environment (required) Proven ability to coach, train, and hold a team accountable to daily goals Solid understanding of production flow, work instructions, and quality checks Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime as production demands Strong communication skills — comfortable giving direction and feedback Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and lifting up to 50 lbs Why BESTAFF At BESTAFF, we match great people with great opportunities.
