2nd Shift Supervisor

Job Description:

The Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of production operators in the safe and efficient operations of our facility. This is a very "hands on role" with expectation to perform a wide variety of tasks necessary both supervisory and operational to meet safety and production requirement while supplying market with quality products. Safety Incident report reviews Safety audits Perform accident investigation and follow up Safety Training implementation Quality Perform and review quality inspections Instill the vision of customer focus into their Team Productivity Accountability for and communication of the operational performance for the plant Product change management Develop, maintain, and control methods of improving scrap and downtime Provide coaching to ensure employees understand/own the productivity metrics Cultural Management provide the following: Vision

Requirements:

Must be able to read, write, and interpret documents such as: safety rules, operating / maintenance / procedure manuals, routine reports and other correspondence

• Ability to interpret, understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to maintain accurate employee documentation and record keeping
• Must possess strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization, customers and clients
• Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
• Must work well in both team environments and independently
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• A High School Diploma or GED
• A minimum of 3-5 years industrial mechanical/supervisory experience
• Previous work experience in a fast paced, high-pressure, production environment
• Demonstrated previous success in meeting organizational goals and objectives through measuring and improving production processes
• Previous experience in leading and fostering positive employee engagement within an organization
• Frequently standing, occasionally walking, frequently sitting
• Regularly exposed to humid conditions (non-weather)
• Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds
