Job Title:
Materials Supervisor Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Materials Supervisor to oversee the coordination of material and production mix requirements to ensure the fulfillment of production schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of shift supervision processes and effective management of personnel, material, and equipment to support SPQRC initiatives. The supervisor will maintain safety and housekeeping standards while exercising cost control measures and cooperating with other departments. Responsibilities + Coordinate material and production mix requirements to meet production schedules. + Expedite the movement of in-process and finished goods. + Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards. + Exercise good cost control measures. + Coordinate and cooperate with other departments to meet production schedules. + Train, develop, and evaluate employees. + Engage frequently with contacts outside the work group. + Comply with terms of local and national labor agreements. + Effectively utilize personnel, material, and equipment in supporting SPQRC initiatives. + Support plant in achieving Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost goals. + Willingness to work any assigned shift, including daily, weekend, and holiday overtime as required. + Support and implement QS9000/ISO14001/( GMS ) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes. Essential Skills + Production management and supervision. + Experience in process improvement and Six Sigma methodologies. + Knowledge of material flow, logistics, inventory, and inventory management. + Safety and supply chain expertise. + Materials management support. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum 2 years of related experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment. + Excellent written, mathematical, and analytical skills. + Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). + Strong technical understanding of processes. + Outstanding organizational, leadership, and communication skills. + GM and cross dock experience preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00- $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
