What you'll do... Key Responsibilities Promote a safe work environment by ensuring associates utilize the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures. Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas by ensuring floors are free of debris, equipment is operational, and potential safety hazards are promptly addressed. Request materials, supplies, replacement parts, and repair services as needed to support production operations. Manage the daily operations of the production area by planning and establishing work schedules, staffing assignments, and production priorities. Monitor and evaluate operations, programs, processes, and practices to ensure quality, efficiency, and overall effectiveness. Inspect materials, products, and equipment for defects, damage, or malfunctions and ensure corrective actions are taken. Assist with production sequencing and scheduling to meet production goals while providing superior customer service. Ensure the timely and appropriate resolution of associate performance concerns through coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary. Complete, review, and analyze departmental reports to monitor operational performance and identify improvement opportunities. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by supporting Lean manufacturing principles, documenting best practices, and implementing process improvements. Participate in onboarding and ongoing training to develop associate knowledge, skills, and performance. Provide guidance on process improvements related to waste reduction, quality management, productivity, and operational effectiveness. Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Supporting business plans and initiatives that meet customer and organizational needs. Identifying and communicating goals and objectives. Building accountability and measuring progress toward expected results. Identifying and addressing process improvement opportunities. Demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning. Leadership Responsibilities Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates by: Hiring, onboarding, and training new associates. Coaching and mentoring team members.
