Job Title:

Evening Shift Supervisor Position Summary Seeking an Evening Shift Supervisor to oversee evening fabrication operations, supervise shop personnel, maintain production flow, and enforce safety and quality standards. This hands-on leadership role includes assisting with fabrication activities such as fit-up, welding oversight, inspections, troubleshooting, and material handling. The ideal candidate has strong structural steel fabrication and welding experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of AWS welding standards. AWS CWI certification preferred. Key Responsibilities Supervise evening shift fabrication staff, including welders, fitters, operators, and material handlers. Coordinate production schedules and maintain workflow efficiency. Ensure work meets shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Perform visual inspections and monitor compliance with

standards. Enforce safety policies and maintain shop organization. Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities. Assist with training, troubleshooting, and employee development. Support hands-on shop activities, material movement, and production flow. Maintain accurate production documentation and a professional work environment. Qualifications Required 5+ years of structural steel fabrication, welding, or manufacturing experience. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and welding practices. Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols. Knowledge of

standards. Prior supervisory or leadership experience. Preferred AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification. Experience with

FCAW/GMAW

welding processes. Experience supervising evening shifts and working with overhead cranes/heavy materials. Physical Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in a fabrication shop environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
