A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Job Description
The Feed Delivery Manager oversees feed consumption of all cattle to balance between over and underfeeding while maximizing gain and efficiency with minimal waste. This role also supervises the feed truck drivers.
+ Determine daily feed calls based on cattle intake patterns, cattle type, weight, health, and weather. Foreman will visually appraise cattle behavior and bunk condition to accurately determine appropriate feed requirements.
+ Daily management of feed truck crew to insure correct, accurate, and timely delivery of all rations. Visual inspection and appraisal of the feed ration.
+ Samples commodities and rations for chemical analysis monthly and dry matter determinations weekly on Feed Mill commodities, silage and alfalfa.
+ Carries out supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, assigning and directing work.
+ Responsible for daily operating expenditures in the feed delivery department.
+ Checks grind, moisture and pack of green chop for silage.
+ Ensures that feed crew assists when possible in covering pits with plastic.
+ Fills in as needed when necessary.
+ Ensures that feed callers follow established routines.
+ Keeps feed alley clean.
+ Ensures that rocks, concrete and metal are picked up out of bunks and that bunks are kept clean of manure, mold, etc.
Education Requirements:
+ 1 year of relevant experience
