Our continued growth has created an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Zachary, LA . This position is ideal for a manufacturing professional who enjoys leading people, improving processes, and is interested in advancing into future leadership opportunities. South Atlantic offers a comprehensive training and development program designed to prepare high-performing supervisors for advancement within our growing organization. Candidates must be willing to relocate to one of our facilities in the Southeast as future career opportunities become available. Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations while promoting a safe, productive, and quality-driven work environment. This individual will supervise production employees, monitor workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, and work closely with plant leadership to achieve operational goals. Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and develop a team of approximately 15 production employees. Lead daily production activities while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. Train and cross-train employees to increase workforce flexibility and operational efficiency. Monitor production schedules and coordinate workflow to meet customer requirements. Track customer-owned material and company inventory throughout the production process. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper material control. Promote continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, accountability, and leadership. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing experience is required. Bachelor's degree in Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent manufacturing leadership experience will be considered. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of production processes, inventory control, and employee development. Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
