Job Description

The Production Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving daily production activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and supporting the team in meeting delivery goals. This role is expected to spend approximately 85% of their time on the production floor, actively engaging with team members, troubleshooting issues, and keeping operations running smoothly. SAFETY Ensure all production activities are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with company safety protocols. Promote a safety-first culture by modeling safe behavior and addressing unsafe practices immediately. Support and participate in safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions. QUALITY Monitor product quality throughout the production process and escalate issues as needed. Collaborate with the Quality team to address yield issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain high standards. Ensure team members follow standard operating procedures and quality control guidelines. Collaborate with the Quality team to control nonconforming material through the MRB process
TEAM LEADERSHIP
Lead daily team shift huddles and mid-week check-ins with team members and other leads to align on priorities and job status. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Materials, Engineering, Quality, etc.) to resolve issues and share updates. Supervise and support production team members, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
PRODUCTION
Prioritize and coordinate the flow of jobs through production to meet delivery targets. Maintain accurate inventory records through kitting, cycle counts, and control of production orders Maintain accurate production records and logs. Escalate roadblocks to Operations management to ensure team success Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and throughput.
AREA-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembly:
Oversee production of finished goods for the detector product lines. Coordinate with shipping team to ensure timely shipments of finished goods and pull-from-stock items. Position Requirements Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a production role within the company. Must be in good standing (e.g., no active disciplinary actions, consistent attendance, and positive performance history). Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and ability to lead by example. Familiarity with company production processes, safety protocols, and quality standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments. Willingness to grow into a leadership role and participate in training or mentorship programs. Ability to work assigned shift and occasional overtime as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
Working Environment:
General production areas with workstations and benches for assembly and inspection. A cleanroom environment requiring gowning procedures and adherence to contamination control protocols. An R D space with more sensitive and potentially hazardous equipment, requiring heightened awareness and safety compliance.
