We improve, persevere, and grow. Position Summary The Manufacturing Coordinator is responsible for leading daily manufacturing activities within an assigned shift and production area. This role serves as the primary point of contact for Manufacturing Associates, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while supporting production goals, quality standards, and employee development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on the manufacturing floor, effectively balances people and production priorities, and promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Coordinator directly supports Manufacturing Associates and partners closely with Manufacturing Leads to ensure consistent execution of production schedules and operational objectives. Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily manufacturing activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
  • Directly manage Manufacturing Associates, including attendance tracking, PTO approvals, performance coaching, and employee development.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to support employee growth and accountability.
  • Participate in hiring activities, onboarding, training, and staffing recommendations.
  • Address employee performance concerns and support corrective action processes in partnership with the Manufacturing Manager and Human Resources.
  • Assign personnel and resources to meet production schedules and changing business demands.
  • Ensure adherence to work instructions, standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Leads to provide training, troubleshoot issues, and support operational excellence initiatives.
  • Monitor production performance and communicate shift results, challenges, and priorities to leadership.
  • Ensure manufacturing activities are conducted in compliance with applicable quality system requirements, including
ISO 13485
procedures, work instructions, and cleanroom protocols.
  • Promote a culture of safety by identifying hazards, reinforcing safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow.
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and support ERP transactions as required.
  • Model ASC's core values by fostering integrity, teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations leadership role.
  • Prior experience leading or coordinating production teams in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach employees, manage performance, and build positive working relationships.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in an ISO 13485, GMP, or other regulated manufacturing environment, with a working knowledge of quality systems, manufacturing documentation, and compliance requirements preferred.
  • Experience using ERP systems and production reporting tools preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.
