A Production Plant Foreman works with the Plant Manager or Supervisor in scheduling the activities of the employees and team leaders. Meets regularly with the team leaders to communicate anticipated production sequences, to discuss potential production problems, and to provide opportunity for input on improvement of work processes and work flow. Assist in assuring quality and safety of production procedures.

Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensuring consistent quality standards and procedures up and down work chain.
- Drive production through the utilization of the Forge Crew to meet all operation's metrics.
- Manufacturing analysis to reach peak efficiency.
- Manufacturing improvement/refinement review.
- Identifying new opportunities to impact business and operations goals positively.
- Manufacturing directs and coordinates forging plant operations-based policies, objectives, and programs spanning manufacturing functions.
- Manage a union workforce and hold accountable to all WG quality, safety and production procedures.
- Determines performance and product quality and has direct accountability for that performance.
Requirements:
- Broad knowledge of forging, mechanical or material science engineering, finance and business administration.
B.S./ B.A
(engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.- Minimum 4 years' experience in Heavy Manufacturing (Steel making, automotive or forging preferred)
- Union shop experience preferred
- Ability to work a rotational shift schedule, day and nights
Special Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to drive production in a fast-paced stressful environment.
- Rotating shift coverage required
- Ability to manage multiple, often changing, priorities US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts .
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:
