Effectively interface with all levels of personnel throughout the North Grafton, MA facility.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensuring consistent quality standards and procedures up and down work chain.
  • Drive production through the utilization of the Forge Crew to meet all operation's metrics.
  • Manufacturing analysis to reach peak efficiency.
  • Manufacturing improvement/refinement review.
  • Identifying new opportunities to impact business and operations goals positively.
  • Manufacturing directs and coordinates forging plant operations-based policies, objectives, and programs spanning manufacturing functions.
  • Manage a union workforce and hold accountable to all WG quality, safety and production procedures.
  • Determines performance and product quality and has direct accountability for that performance.
Requirements:
  • Broad knowledge of forging, mechanical or material science engineering, finance and business administration.
B.S./ B.A
(engineering discipline preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Heavy Manufacturing (Steel making, automotive or forging preferred)
  • Union shop experience preferred
  • Ability to work a rotational shift schedule, day and nights
Special Skills and Requirements:
  • Ability to drive production in a fast-paced stressful environment.
  • Rotating shift coverage required
  • Ability to manage multiple, often changing, priorities US Citizenship or Perm Residency is required due to government military contracts .
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under the U.S. export control laws and regulations (including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, or defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. The U.S. export control regulations define a U.S. Person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), and certain categories of Asylees and Refugees.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
