Job Description

SUMMARY:
The Production Supervisor is a working leader responsible for overseeing daily operations within assigned production cells. This role serves as the primary point of contact on the production floor, driving output, quality, and efficiency while supervising leads and production employees. The Production Supervisor supports continuous improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to standard work, safety, and company policies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead daily operations within assigned production cells and act as the primary floor contact Supervise and support leads and production employees to achieve output, quality, and delivery targets Read and interpret prints, engineering documents, and work instructions and guide teams accordingly Assign work, set priorities, and manage production schedules and workflow Monitor and maintain work-in-process and ensure material accountability Support and lead continuous improvement initiatives including Kaizen events and Lean activities Implement and maintain 6S standards across all work areas Develop, maintain, and improve standard work for production cells Identify staffing, training, and resource needs and escalate as required Mentor and train team members and support development of leads and operators Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for employees Recognize and support employee engagement and performance initiatives Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and company policies Collaborate with management and cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong leadership and team development skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and production demands Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles Effective communication and organizational skills

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required Group leading experience in manufacturing environment 5+ years of assembly or production experience Lean or continuous improvement training preferred
