Job Description

Summary of the
Position:
The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, leading production staff, and ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met. This role serves as a hands-on leader on the production floor, acting as the primary point of contact between operators and management.
Education/Qualification Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Preferred) Must have a valid driver s license (Preferred) Bilingual in English & Spanish (Preferred) Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.
Role and Responsibilities:
Enforces company policies pertaining to Safety, Food Safety and GMP s. Ensure production schedules are met in accordance with deadlines, and adjust staffing and workflow as needed. Supervise, train, and mentor production team members to improve their skills and performance. Help manage inventory levels to prevent overstocking or shortages, ensuring smooth workflow. Assist with addressing production issues, whether related to machinery, personnel, or materials, and provide effective solutions with positive behavior. Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime. Makes reasonable and effective decisions in a fast-paced work environment. Assist with quality checks throughout the production process and implement corrective actions when necessary. Reports issues, problems, unsafe conditions, equipment losses or failure and staff challenges to Manager and / or HR.
Preferred Skills:
Team management abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of production systems, manufacturing processes, and quality control techniques. Problem-solving abilities to address production challenges quickly and effectively.
