Inserting Supervisor Job Summary The Shift Supervisor is responsible for directing all aspects of production during the assigned shift. This role ensures overall efficiency, productivity, and quality while overseeing daily operations within the inserting department. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Oversee all production activities to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Perform quality control checks throughout the production process. Provide support to maximize team productivity and efficiency. Record and report production data and performance metrics. Ensure overall efficiency and productivity of the inserting department. Troubleshoot equipment issues and operate machinery as needed. Train employees on equipment operation and production processes. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience operating WD Printing Machines and inserting equipment. Ability to run and troubleshoot Flowmaster and Phillipburg inserters. General understanding of USPS regulations, mail sortation, and postage requirements. Strong communication and computer skills . Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and remain self-motivated. Ability to perform effectively under time constraints. Strong leadership, motivational, and directional skills. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and occasionally more. Ability to stand for extended periods, with frequent bending, twisting, and pulling. Flexibility with work schedule as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise production employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
