Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to lead and oversee sheet metal installation projects on construction sites. This role requires a proactive leader who can manage teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality workmanship. As a Sheet Metal Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations, supervise skilled tradespeople, and collaborate with project managers to meet project deadlines and budgets. Your expertise in construction management, blueprint reading, and sheet metal techniques will drive the success of our projects while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise sheet metal workers on construction sites, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to plan daily activities and meet project schedules. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation tasks. Oversee the use of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, and other construction site tools for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and enforce safety procedures across all team members. Manage material procurement, inventory control, and logistics to ensure timely availability of supplies. Conduct quality control inspections using tools like ohmmeters and ensure work meets project specifications. Train, mentor, and supervise team members to enhance skills in blueprint reading, construction estimating, and schematics interpretation. Maintain accurate records of work progress, safety incidents, change orders, and project documentation. Requirements Proven experience in construction management with a focus on sheet metal or HVAC systems; supervising experience preferred. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling. Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam. Hands-on experience with construction site operations; ability to read technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety enforcement. Skilled in the use of measurement tools such as ohmmeters; experience with quality control procedures is essential. Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high safety standards. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously within tight deadlines while managing resources efficiently. Strong communication skills for collaboration with project teams and clients alike.
