Reports To:
Plant Manager General Summary Responsible for the supervision of the machine operators and daily operations in their department. Train new employees and perform various light repairs.
Skills and Qualifications:
Must have experience in the o peration of various machines, such as CNC's, Coin Presses and Dial's. Ability to manage a team and prioritize tasks effectively Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Excellent problem-solving abilities Previous experience as shift supervisor Strong leadership and communication skills Principle Duties and Responsibilities Train and assist operators in meeting production standards. Assign duties to operators based on Production Priority List. Operate various machines, such as CNC's, Coin Presses and Dial's. At the end of the shift, collect production sheets and turn them into the office. Automation - robots and ability to work through select alarms. Train existing employees on new machines, new product and new procedures. At the beginning of each shift, review inventory of all tooling on the board for use by the afternoon shift. Make sure that there is adequate tooling to run the afternoon shift Record starting inventory. Monitor tooling and any abnormal tool wear throughout the shift.
Working Conditions:
Industrial plant setting; continuous exposure to noise. Safety protection required. (safety shoes, ear protection and safety glasses.) Must strive for continuous improvement. Overtime required.
