$70k-$80k + Overtime Position Overview A growing plastic injection molding manufacturer is seeking a hands-on 3rd Shift Supervisor to lead production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a working leadership role responsible for driving safety, quality, and production performance while developing and supporting shift personnel. This position is salaried non-exempt, meaning overtime is paid for hours worked over 40 per week. Key Responsibilities Lead shift employees to achieve daily safety, quality, and production goals. Coordinate labor, mold changes, and shift setups to align with production schedules. Ensure compliance with standardized work instructions, quality checks, and safety procedures. Oversee the setup and operation of injection molding machines and related equipment. Monitor shift metrics and communicate issues that impact output, scrap, or efficiency. Troubleshoot equipment, process, and material concerns in real time. Maintain clear shift-to-shift communication and accurate production documentation. Promote 5S and lean manufacturing practices to maintain an organized work environment. Provide coaching, performance feedback, and accountability to team members. Manage timecards and attendance for direct reports. Exercise authority to stop production if safety or quality standards are not met. Required Qualifications 3+ years of supervisory/lead experience in an injection molding environment. Strong understanding of molding fundamentals, including heat, pressure, cooling, and material flow. Proven leadership ability with experience developing and guiding production teams. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); ERP experience is a plus. Experience managing employee timekeeping and performance accountability. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Work Environment & Expectations Manufacturing environment that may be hot, noisy, and industrial. Extensive standing, lifting, reaching, and movement throughout the shift (7+ hours). Must be comfortable working directly on the production floor. Authority to initiate corrective action when procedures or safety policies are not followed.
