This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for social work, public health, and nutrition to create a welcoming environment that promotes dignity, respect and independence. As a key leader in the Food Pantry, you will collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure efficient operations, foster positive relationships with clients, and support community health initiatives. Your energy and motivation will help us build a stronger, healthier community one person at a time. Duties Assist in coordinating daily pantry operations, ensuring smooth client flow and adherence to safety protocols Support clients in selecting food items based on their preferences and nutritional needs, promoting the Client Choice model Collaborate with team members to enhance nutritional education and food security awareness Empower clients in making healthy food choices and improving overall well-being Manage inventory, monitor budget for food, and oversee food donations to maintain a sustainable supply of nutritious options Secure, train, supervise and schedule volunteers Maintain accurate records of client interactions, inventory levels, and program activities to support continuous improvement Shopping for Food Pantry Possible facilitation of Cooking/Nutrition Classes Experience Background in social work, public health, nutrition, or related fields is highly desirable Experience working with diverse populations in community settings or food assistance programs Knowledge of foods and nutrition Familiarity with maintaining food inventory Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and community partners
Pay:
$17.00 per hour
