GENERAL SUMMARY
Directs digital pressroom and related bindery finishing activities to meet customer requirements of quality, quantity and scheduling while considering cost considerations, environmental and safety policies, and compliance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Reviews the digital pressroom and related bindery finishing schedule daily to direct the short- and long-term scheduling of production; establishes delivery priorities. Ensures that all production leads have correct instructions and procedures to run and staff the scheduled jobs. Ensures effective standards of performance for production and ensures they are maintained. Communicates policies, programs, and practices . Holds shift change press operator meetings. Meets with Digital Production Manager daily to review department schedules and staffing overlaps. Responsible for training and orienting, scheduling, developing, disciplining, and annually measuring job performance of press operators and related finishing equipment operators and team leads. Achieves a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership and the use of sound management and human relations principles. Organizes effective training programs to upgrade and advance individuals as fast as openings develop. Oversees that the preventative maintenance program is maintained. Investigates issues within production. Assists with implementation of all safety procedures within the production environment and is responsible for maintain a safe work environment for Digital Production employees. Complies with all
MIOSHA/OSHA
standards and requirements. Responsible for meeting with Digital Production Manager to update and discuss problems and receive direction and input as necessary. Attends daily and weekly departmental meeting to discuss issues that are of priority within the company. Performs other duties as requested.

Basic computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office applications) Basic mathematical skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems accordingly Team leader/supervisory skills with proven ability to supervisor a group of people Strong attention to detail Ability to be adaptable Exceptional organizational skills Knowledge of all digital production procedures Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize tasks Ability to work and manage within a fast-paced environment Supervisor/ management knowledge is preferred Printing knowledge is preferred EFI Monarch knowledge preferred
