Job Description

SHIFT SUPERVISOR
(Machining)
Macomb, MIHours:
5:45am - 4:30pm, M-F, Saturdays & Sundays as scheduled$30-35/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for scheduling operators job placements and coordinating training.

Participate in the development and implementation of work instructions to improve training.

Through put (running to standard rates) & Quality (compliance with all customer specifications)Maintain safety and housekeeping of shop floorAnalyze, investigate and provide guidance on troubleshooting tooling and process concerns to reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement.

Perform production set-ups, changeovers and repair maintenance activities.

Edit CNC programs and/or write programs.

If capable or directed, troubleshoot electrical problems, wire equipment, do PLC implementation and program managementEnsure compliance by all employees with MPM policies and proceduresResponsible to provide employee positive feedback and disciplinary actions as necessary.

Interaction with customers, suppliers and vendors as needed.

Responsible for complete evaluation criteria for job bids and performance evaluationsComply and participate in MPM housekeeping, safety and environmental policies.

Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout) & Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills and programs)Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, housekeepingOther duties as defined by your supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in CNC Manufacturing environment with lead responsibilitiesHigh School Diploma required, advanced certificate/degree preferredLeadership, mentoring and trainingProblem Solving and Decision-Making capabilities
CNC & PLC
programming, troubleshooting, part processing, blueprint reading, GD&TFanuc Robots/Controls and automationDependable, Good communication/people and team building skills
