Job Description

Team Lead - Releasing | Bristol, IN (Main)Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $28.00 - 28.00What you'll do: DescriptionLeading your team to achieve and maintain a Safety driven culture in coordination with company Safety policies and correcting unsafe practices.

Ensuring Quality work is produced within your designated area and meeting Quality expectations.

Delivery to targeted takt time in order to meet Production expectations.

Be a 5S champion by eliminating and continuously improving the reduction of daily waste in your area. (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and Sustain)Lead any on the job training initiatives as a part of the onboarding process, continued improvement developments and updated policies.

Hold your team accountable to the policies and processes of the organization through consistent, fair, and equal leadership practices.

Continued communication daily with your Supervisor and necessary Management on updates pertaining to the line and team.

Facilitate daily start of shift meetings and any other team meetings effectively and maintain team accountability for daily workload.

Train your team to read installation and assembly prints, troubleshoot production issues, and uphold company regulations.

Complete regular audits to ensure the practices and processes are followed driving continuous improvement.

Update Takt Boards, identifying potential root causes of discovered problems.

Escalate problems immediately to protect internal customer.

Document nonconforming material for disposition.

What you need to be successful:
Education:
HS Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
must have at least 1-year experience in commercial vehicle assembly. (Walk-ins, Truck Bodies/PDVs)
Skills:
Must have strong leadership skills includingAbility to motivate teamPositive attitudeHighly organizedYou must be proficient with computers.

Ability to promptly address technical and behavioral performance issues.

Ability to drive change and continuous improvement throughout the work area.

Strong knowledge base of companies Safety related policies and core processes. Ability to actively listen to team members while seeking to understand abnormal conditions.
