About Fuyao Fuyao Automotive North America Incorporated (FANA) is in the general warehousing and glass manufacturing industry in Plymouth MI. We provide automotive glass for the North America market and currently have glass manufacturing relationships with some of the top automotive manufacturers in North America including GM, Honda, Chrysler, Kia, BMW and Hyundai. JOB DESCRIPTIONSummary/ObjectiveThe primary role of the Supervisor in Training is to learn to manage and supervise production personnel, production, labor discipline and quality. This will be accomplished by production tasks, conducting product cost and control and effectively improving product quality and output. In the meantime, grasping the company business conditions, learn the concepts of the continuous improvement program relating to quality, effectiveness, inventory and material consumption.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for learning the concept of the business and department roles (line operators, line supervisors, Production Manager and Engineers).Responsible for learning plant machinery and production processes (assembling parts).Assist with debugging, production tracking and technical support for difficult products to minimize scrap.

Responsible for learning techniques and assisting in increasing yield, productivity and product quality.

Responsible for learning and assisting with first piece inspection process.

Assist in updating monthly Kaizen board.

Responsible for learning and assisting in half-hour sampling check of the production glass appearance to prevent high volume of defects.

Assist with mentoring and coaching personnel.

Responsible for training on all workshop equipment and assisting in reasonable improvement and maintenance.

Other work arranged by the department manager.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work EnvironmentThis job operates between manufacturing and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines as well as interfacing with the operation of machinery on the floor.

Must be 18 years or older. Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Little to no travel is expected for this position. Required Education and ExperienceMin. Bachelors degree in Industrial/Operations/Business Management.

Proficient in strong planning, organization, and coordination skills.

Proficient in ability to inspect.

Proficient in office software.

Bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin Preferred Education and ExperienceWith one or more years experience in manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
