Job Description
As a Foreman for Great Lakes Construction Services, you will perform a variety of tasks that aid in both the completion and success of selective demolition projects. To perform this position sufficiently, you must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The essential duties and details of this position are as follows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating work efforts in order to ensure top safety and quality of projects. Responsible for building positive relationships with contractors, vendors and fellow subcontractors on site. Ensuring the project has adequate crew members and resources each workday. Able to read and understand plans and specifications for a project, as well as communicate this information to others. Reporting progress and other required information to the Superintendent and to the GLCS Director of Operations. Lifting objects or materials weighing 60+ pounds and using hand tools and small power tools. Operating select machinery used to complete the selective demolition phase of projects. Machinery includes but is not limited to: scissor lift, skid steer, articulating lift/work platform, floor scarifying equipment, and sky track. Performing other relevant duties as assigned and assisting crew members in their performance.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a minimum education level of High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 3-5 years prior experience with construction is required. Selective demo experience is a plus. Must have working knowledge of construction processes and protocols. Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.WORK ENVIRONMENT
As a Foreman for GLCS, you will be subject to various work environments. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking for up to 10 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, areas close to traffic.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will supervise crew members. Anyone with supervisory responsibilities is expected to supervise in a professional and positive manner.Job Type:
